OSX lets you do that per keyboard, so if you own another one (for Netflix & Chill on your sofa) it recognises it.Ĭities: Skyline doesn't, or rather just Relight since the keymapping option does recognise the swapped keys correctly as Alt/Opt & Windows/Cmd and they work just fine.
Long story short: I'm on a Mac and have an awesome G910, which sadly has it's Option & Cmd keys switched so I swapped them and went to OSX preferences to also swap those modifier keys digitally. Since everything else seems to be working just fine and there are no errors in the logs whatsoever I started to get creative. (No idea if it was added to the Move It mod itself at somepoint, I set the shortcuts up waaaay back and never re-checked)Today I wanted to try out Relight and up my gfx game, turns out the settings panel isn't showing and I found next to zero info on that issue on the web. I already use those shortcuts thouands of times every day, no need to re-memorize them. Some days I barely touch the mouse at all for several hours when working, it's all shortcuts.įor instance I've tied the Move It copy-paste to Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v.
I personally love the mod, but then I'm both an IT specialist and used to working in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, and we do everything with shortcuts. And most have never even heard of Alt+Tab.
Given how many people I still see rightclicking to select all, rightclicking to copy and rightclicking to paste, instead of Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, in everything from Word to Explorer, I'm not surprised a shortcut mod isn't that popular.
Most regular users prefer clicking because it requires less thinking. They're more of an advanced method of controlling a system. Keyboard shortcuts are generally used more by people who work with them in other programs and tasks as well.
